I am life unraveled,

sinew and synapse

shrouded in silence,

a captive of conflated

consciences.

Transgressions abide patiently,

inopportunely arising,

denying tranquility’s touch.

For you I have resurrected myself

with no stone to move,

no cross to clatter

along our empty street.

For you I have suffered incessantly

until the ache is euphoric,

cross-wired long ago with love unvetted,

oblivious.

Unkept secrets dissolve distrust.

You shall remain shallow, bound

while I will forever remain

I close my eyes

the people are gone

the life i am living

I’m feelin withdrawn.

The things I have seen

flashing through my brain

can’t help but thinkin’

that I am insane

music helps to ease the pain x2

capture this thought

a thought that i got

brought to the table

after learning a lot

its about two stories

that are about to be told

conflicts over ages

that never grow old

the past is how the future unfolds x2

friends I have lost

over all of this time

to another world

to get back in line

sometimes i wonder

do they feel the same?

will they even care

to remember my name?

music helps to keep me sane x2

doin these things that

the government forbid

wastin their lives

so they can fit in

fightin’ a fight

that they never could win

regreting all the things

they remember they did

jail is no place for a kid x2

time is so selfish

through all i have been

it disintegrates away

so memories are thin

listen..it all starts

with one simple sin

fulfilling the desires

that bekon within

its all over when it begins x2

In creatures multiarmed and verminous
And abhorred my greaseball masculism.

I turned round a corner, deja vu.

A one way street, the wrong point of view.

Going slow, stuck in a queue.

I turned left, then right, I was in the wrong lane.

Go straight ahead, then turn again.

At last I was going the correct way.

I’d soon be home, hip, hip, hooray.

Then I got stuck at a red light.

If I got any older I’ll pray for last rites.

As I waited a man with sign, a familiar sight.

Requesting work, a civil right.

It was rush hour, with road works ahead.

The man was motionless, a crack-head?

Juice-head, Acid-head, Pisshead, Dope-head?

No, just needed work to get food and a bed.

At last the light changed to green.

I passed the man, no work, no money, unseen.

I had time to give something, I felt mean.

Or was it his work, an automated teller machine?

As I drove by his endless stare.

Two young girls in casual wear.

Stopped, gave him food, did he care? 

He smiled, gave thanks, and the Lord’s Prayer.
